Hotel Fiesta Americana Villas, Acapulco City, Mexico: Get spoiled with an overdose of LUXURY.....

Hotel     :Fiesta Americana Villas Acapulco, Mexico
Address:Av. Costera Miguel Alemán No.97 Fracc. Club Deportivo 39690 Acapulco

"Who wants to die and go to heaven,
when one can just travel to Acapulco and be in one."

Exactly the words which popped up in to my head as soon as I stepped foot in this beautiful city of Acapulco. This is what a true vacation place needs to feel like. The vibe in the air, the wind in your hair and the cool breeze along with the right amount of sun; screams in bold, capital letters:
Let go and just RELAX.

While the place where we choose to vacation is very important, what is equally important is the hotel or the accommodation arrangement. If the place is beautiful, but my hotel turns out to be a dump, I will not enjoy the place one bit and will sulk all the time.(Ya, I know I am a brat).

Hence, after I have chosen the vacation city, I take extra caution of choosing a great, yet reasonable place to stay. And till now, I am happy to say that I have had 100% success in my research capabilities and have always managed to get great hotels/hostels.

For Acapulco as well, I had researched online, read reviews(mainly on my favorite site- Tripadvisor), seen and compared ratings and had pre booked a hotel called Fiesta Americana Villas. The best part of booking online(especially through booking.com and hotels.com) is that you can book without paying in advance and you have the option of cancelling a certain number of days before the date of arrival and that too free of cost. This for me works perfectly. I usually book and in case later find a better and a cheaper accommodation, I cancel the old hotel and re book a new one. I so love the benefits of technology.
Anyways, so coming back to the hotel in Acapulco, we were delighted right from the beginning i.e. right from the reception desk. Not only was the staff on the front desk kind enough to check us in early(around 3 hours earlier than the usual check in time), but they also gave us the perfect sea facing room.

The rooms were adequately big(various kinds of room types to choose from), clean and with fresh new bed sheets(very important to me) and the shower had 24 hours hot water. What else could I want from a hotel room. I was happy. But the best part was- the view of the big, blue sea from our window AND a view of the hotels swimming pool as well. What luck to be able to wake up to this sight.

The hotel in itself is very huge, with 3 restaurants, 2 lounges, a health club, 2 outdoor pools and a children's playground. The reception area is huge and has enough sofas and chairs to sit and relax. In fact, there are comfortable chairs placed in different areas of the hotel which allows the guests to make themselves comfortable with a book and a glass of wine/cocktail anywhere they please. There is soothing music being played over the hotel and hence you can choose to sit back and listen to music and do absolutely nothing. My favorite part of the hotel is the swimming pool area, which is huge and has sun beds all around for guests to take a lap and then come and lie down to soak in the sun. One of the restaurants called the Maima Restaurants is right next to the pool. So you can even order food while you are chilling by the pool, or opt to wrap a towel and step into the hotel to eat.

There is a staircase next to the main pool which takes you down to another smaller pool at the lower level. There a bar right next to this swimming pool and you can even enjoy your drink while relaxing in the water.

For those who want to hit the beach, the mini pool has a gate attached outside which is the private beach of this hotel. This private beach along with the faciltiy of beach beds can be accessed at a cost of appx USD 15. But the good part is that the complete amount is a cover charge. So, order away. We were lucky to come during happy hours(2 drinks in the price of 1) and made full use of the cover and the happy hour :).

Hotel Fiesta Americana Villas, all in all was an amazing place to stay and I highly recommend it to people who plan to travel to Acapulco in the near future. The hotel knows how to make you feel like you are truly on a vacation.

So, don't think too much. Go and book it fast.
